Food
Madrid and Spain are famous for its food. Medialab-Prado is located in the city center, so the area is full of restaurants and bars where you can eat tapas, lunch menu, have some beers, etc. Also nearby is Lavapies, a multicultural neighbourhood where you can eat mostly Indian and Bengali food.
You can also find food on the venue itself: we will serve coffee, soft drinks and some snacks there, also at lunch time we will organize a catering service with a special fare agreed.
If you’re looking for a restaurant serving typical local food for a meeting with your project, you can ask the organizers. Normally you will find places for 8-12 people in most of the restaurants. But it’s better to make a reservation for that many people.
Public transportation
City center is very well connected by metro, bus lines and trains.
From the airport to the city center there are a lot of possibilities: metro, airport bus to Atocha station or by train to Sol station. The fare of these options is 5€.
Taxi fare from the airport is between 32-38€.
